7-Seg Digit LED Shield –Arduino Compatible
It have two color version: one is red verion(default) and the other is yellow-green version, please choose one color according to your requirement.
This 7-Seg digit LED tube use special drive chip to control every pin of this module, and it is very simple to use the I2C cable to connect with Arduino.
The connection method is very simple, just need one special I2C cable , and then use the I2C cable to connect with I2C interface of Arduino sensor shield as below :
At the same time, change the RS switch to "ON" status, and the RS Switch is at the back of this module, then enable the pull-high resistor of I2C interface.
Then download the test code to Arduino module , this test code can display 0-9 and a-f circularly, also can control digital pipe decimal point at the same time.
This module is using the I2C interface, so in fact this module can also allows to access multiple digital tube module, but should set the module address at first. In the back of the module, there is a ADDR jump line, it is the address that should be set:
Setting method is using the solder tool to connect the middle pin with VCC or GND terminal port respectively.
When middle pin connect with VCC, and the corresponding address is 0 x 76.
When middle pin connect with GND, and the corresponding address is 0 x 70.
This module which you receive from us does not connect with the VCC, also does not connect with GND, so this time the address is 0 x 76.
This item come with the special I2C cable.
